History :The construction of our school started on 1979 and finisned on 1981 and some parts had been completed later.Our School was opened with a ceremony in 1981.

There are 26 teachers and 250 students in our school. There are Metalworks, Mechanic,Computer, Electricity,Leather departments.

There are 2 computer lab, 4  workshops, 12 classrooms in where our students are trained.   

Gerede Industrial Vocational High Scool is established in county town of Gerede which is dependent upon to Bolu. Bolu  is a beautiful city in the west of Turkey.Gerede is 55 km far away from city centrum of Bolu .In our association 26 educators of children and administrator personnels are working.Our school’s administrator staff is 1 principal, 1 head  manager assistant , 5 manager assistants, 5 chieves of department. Physical places and open places are 13.00 m2 (5800 m2 is closed area).There are 4 workshops,(in the criterian of sections),12 classrooms, 2 computer laboratories (there are 30 computer in these laboratories), 1 meeting room in our covered   physical places which are maintaining to education.In five occupation sections, 250 boys students  have been learning about professional education in 2006-2007 education term.55 students of them are attending to the practical training at 15 different business enterprises.Most of these business enterprises are small or medium delibareted ( KOBİ). Some of personnels had been finished univesity who are carrying the educational responsiblity of students in the business enterprises. The others have educator master certificates. Ourstudents learn practising and trying in Metalworks  workshops in our scool.In our school, the students have using computer and  learning Auto Cad or Solid Works programs.

            Through make contingent on all branches ; cooperation is being made by the Professional civilian society organizations and line of work sector to prepare and carry on the programes, and than to help for having a good job in a short time for our graduates.

The main aim of our school from its establishment; to prepare our students to the academic education in  professional area, in the same time to serve a need qualified personel who has technical hardware improvoments in section, advocate of change and researcher of the sector’s necessity.

            There are administrators and educators personnels who have motivation about teaching improvoments and applications in our school.

We are an official high school in Bolu of TURKEY. Our school's full name is Bolu Gerede Vocational High School. In Turkey, our school is one of the successful schools in its area. Our school runs education in the areas of: Metal working , welding (TIG Welding-MIG-MAG Welding Oxi-Acetylene Welding , Stainless Steel Welding,Cast Iron Welding),  Powder Metalurgy,Sheet Metal Working,  Coating technology,Heat Treatment, PLC Control  Machine. electric, mecanic, leather production.

We want to be a partner from vocational education centers, universities and industries to apply Leonardo third phase(2007-2013) mobility project.
